Seasons Greetings!! A big thanks to all our recent donors!
1.2. PREAMBLE
The event for 2023 was held on the 30th of Dec 2023. It featured additionally a visit to SOSAID Charity Home, Ubakala, Umuahia. The annual medical outreach, award of scholarships (for the 2023/24 tertiary academic session), social welfare empowerment to the women of Umuekpe Ntigha Autonomous Community, and refreshments to all attendees were held as usual.
1.3. VISIT TO SOSAID CHARITY HOME FOR VULNERABLE PERSONS, UBAKALA, UMUAHIA, ABIA STATE.
It was a joy better experienced than imagined to behold the excitement and happiness on the faces of the specially gifted children and adults, and their careers at the SOSAID Charity Home for Vulnerable Persons as JNOF visited the Charity Home with a cash donation of one hundred thousand naira (N100, 000.00) and food for all (cooked rice with meat enough to go round the over 100 mates and careers)
1.4. 2023 ANNUAL FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH
The people were there in mass for the free medical outreach. A recorded over 3,000 children, adults, and the elderly benefited from the free vital signs check, free eye check, free sugar, blood pressure, and urine check as needed, free medical consultations, and free drugs dispensed as prescribed by the doctors.
1.5. AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2023/24 ACADEMIC SESSION
There were a total of six beneficiaries (4 new and 2 previous persons) across different public tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This year also recorded 4 new graduates from among the beneficiaries of the scholarship award, making a total of 7 since the inception of the program in 2021. The three new graduates are; Miss Ogbonna Cynthia, Mr Ajaegbu Fortunatus U, Mr Chijioke Prosper U, and Mr Linus Prince Desmond.
1.6. GIFTING OF SOCIAL WELFARE ITEMS
The women of Umuekpe Ntigha Autonomous community and others also benefited from the gifting of the following items.
· 20 bags of 50kg rice
· 10 cartons of 96 pieces of sachet groundnut oil
· 15 cartons of 48 pieces of sachet tomatoes.
1.7. REFRESHMENT
Thereafter, snacks, drinks, and sumptuous meals were provided for all attendees

9) Mrs Lorretta Onyebueze – Environmental Health Officer (Nigeria)
10) Dr. Onyinyechi Nwosu – Optometrist (Nigeria)
11) Dr. Oluchi Onubuogu – Optometrist (Nigeria)
12) Miss Chiamaka Joseph – Med Lab Scientist (Nigeria)
13) Miss Ezinne Chigbu – Pharmacy Technician (Nigeria)
14) Miss Chigbu Judith – Public Health Officer/JNOF former scholarship beneficiary
15) Miss Ogbonna Cynthia – Med Lab Technician/JNOF scholarship beneficiary
16) Mr. Prosper Chijioke – Surveyor/JNOF scholarship beneficiary
17) Mr. Ajaegbu Fortunatus – Science Lab Technician/JNOF scholarship beneficiary

1.6. APPRECIATION
JNOF appreciates her Board of Directors ably led by the Founder/President; Engr Julius Nnandilobi for the continued initiative, drive, and funding of the programme. To the Secretary of the Board, Dr John Onyebueze, JNOF equally appreciates you for your relentlessness and doggedness in overseeing and coordinating the Foundation’s activities. To our very special volunteers, Dr Charles Chikezie, and Prof Charles Njoku who despite their tight schedules in the USA and Nigeria respectively were able to make time to participate in the event, JNOF is inestimably grateful to you both. To our other distinguished volunteers, we remain grateful for your selfless service. To the host community and neighbours, the executives, leaders, elders, stakeholders, and women of the community, JNOF appreciates you all. Your presence and enthusiasm are our encouragement. To our scholarship recipients, JNOF will continue to support you and wish you well.
